Procopius’s Portrayal of Justinian

It is obvious to me that in reading Procopius’s works he did not think very highly of emperor Justinian. He portrayed him as a cruel, two-faced liar. He also portrayed Justinian’s word as having no value because he had broken it numerous times, Justinian also made many harsh laws therefore not many people loved him as their emperor.
