Minoan Crete

Minoan Crete was a complex civilization by 2000 B.C. It is a smallish island in the Aegean Sea, near Greece. The city of Knossos, excavated by Aurthur Evans in 1899 A.D., many other settlements were found around the island too. The most popular language found on Crete is Linear A, a type of Greek, but no one has been able to decipher it yet, therefore leaving us uncertain about some of Crete’s history.
