The powerful leaders of the USSR were very different from the leaders of the believers in God. The USSR leaders had no faith what so ever in their Communist government, they were only there to get to the top and have more power. The believers on the other hand believed in what they were for, very unlike the communists. They were truly committed to their faith in God even though the consequences were great. It was intriguingly hard for Kourdakov to understand how the believers could be steadfast with their, unlike the flaky communists. These are just a few of the many contrasts in believers and communists.
