Out of the Darkness

Helen Keller was trapped in a dark prison of blindness and deafness until a few major events started to change her life. The escape from that prison all started when Anne Sullivan came to teach Helen. One day Anne took Helen to the water pump and put one of Helen’s hands under the water and in the other hand she spelt the word. This was a huge turning point for Helen, she was finally breaking free by learning to spell words. Another one of the major turning points in her life was when she learned how to talk. She was so happy, talking to everything, knowing now that she could communicate in the language that everyone else used. Helen had many breakthroughs during her life but, these were the most freeing out of them all.
