As I am almost halfway through Thoreau’s autobiography, ‘Walden’, I have observed that it is quite a boring book. Maybe if he had included more information on the background of his life his book would be easier and more enjoyable to read. But unfortunately I highly doubt it would be a success since that when Thoreau explains something he goes off on rabbit trails and explains things with too much detail leading to an extremely long boring narrative. He also tends to go back on what he had just stated, being very indecisive. It is obvious to me that Thoreau did not have a very accomplished English tutor as an example. Thankfully, I now know what not to do with my future autobiography.
