Covenant of Promise

I love the story about Noah and the Flood because it shows how God is in full control of the world around us.  Even though God destroyed most of mankind, he still had compassion for the world’s animals and one special family.
God told Noah to trust Him and build an arc to house his family, two of each unclean animal, and seven of each clean animal.  By sheltering one human family and many families of the animal kingdom there would be a seed for the earth to be founded on after the flooding waters ceased.
After the waters prevailed God made a covenant with Noah and his descendants saying that He would never again destroy the earth by flood.  As a reminder of God’s grace and promise God created the rainbow and put it in the clouds for all living beings to enjoy and remember his unfailing love!
